Prior to becoming a solo act on his own, singer Héctor Lavoe made a name as the lead singer of trombonist, composer, arranger, singer and bandleader Willie Colón’s band. Here’s the opening track of Colón and Lavoe’s 1972 album “El Juicio ” (“The Trial”), taken from a French reissue produced in 1980.
