TOM PIXTON was born in 1953 and since his professional debut as a harpsichordist in 1968, he has performed extensively in the U. S. A., as well as in Holland, England and Venezuela. His teachers have been Louis Bagger (New, York City) and Gustav Leonhardt (Amsterdam). In addition to his activities as a harpsichordist, Mr. Pixton has done much research into the construction of antique
harpsichords. He directs his own shop in Boston which regularly produces finely made harpsichords based on specific surviving antiques.

Editor: Tom Pixton built 18 harpsichords. In 1991, he decided that the accordion was way more fun.
