I’m definitely not a fan of cover versions, but this LP is a notable exception to my own rule. The performances of Glenn Miller’s classic tunes by the Ted Heath Orchestra conducted by Roland Shaw (uncredited) are both elegant and respectful. And the production style of Decca Records’ Phase 4 Stereo label makes them sound really good.
Original UK pressing from 1972.
