This is the song chosen by The Doors as their debut track, opening their eponymous LP from 1967. Featuring an infectious bossa nova-style drum groove thanks to the novelty that this Brazilian rhythm was in the US at the time. The one included in this reissue is the censored version of the song, with the word “high” from “she gets high” (repeated four times) edited out. This censored version still prevails because of being the most familiar one to the listeners.
