Unless you are a die-hard Supertramp fan, chances are that you have never heard the studio version of this song, which live version is pretty well known thanks to its inclusion in the 1980 album “Paris” as just “You Started Laughing”. Another live version with the same name was released as the opening track of the “Live ’88” album.

The reason? This song was recorded in 1975 as part of the “Crisis? What Crisis?” sessions, but it was never released as an album track. Just as the B-side of “Lady”, which is indeed part of the “Crisis…” album. Official Supertramp compilation albums don’t have it either.
