Released in 1982, it became a hit overseas in Europe before it was a hit in the United States. Capitol Records finally released it in the United States, hitting #1 for two non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song was knocked out of the top spot by Chicago’s “Hard To Say I’m Sorry”, but being replaced by Steve Miller Band’s song again. A similar occurrence occurred in 1976 where Chicago hit #1 with “If You Leave Me Now” and being replaced by Steve Miller Band’s “Rockin’ Me”.
