This is the shortest instrumental recorded by Rush (“Hope” is even shorter, but it’s an Alex Lifeson solo performance), nominated for a 2008 Grammy under the category of Best Rock Instrumental Performance. A piece created in the spur of the moment during the recording sessions for their 18th studio album “Snakes & Arrows”, released in 2007. Featuring Geddy Lee on fretless bass for the first and only time on a Rush studio album, and Neil Peart on a four-piece kit since his massive drum set had been shipped off from the studio after completing his drum parts for the album.
