This is an instrumental tune from the soundtrack for the 1976 movie “Car Wash”, performed by Rose Royce and produced by Norman Whitfield, one of the creators of the “Motown Sound”. “Yo Yo” is an extremely well-known tune for Colombian people older than 30 years old as of the making of this video, since it was used as the intro theme for the second longest-running (14 years) TV show produced in this country, a sitcom called “Dejémonos De Vainas” ( ), during its entire course. It was also used in the same show as incidental music (the tune’s drum breaks section was always associated to fast-motion sequences).
