Roger Waters had said that he probably would consider doing “The Wall” live again if the Berlin Wall was taken down. Perhaps it was a polite way to say “I’ll never do it again”, but when it happened, he honored his pledge. That’s why “The Wall” was performed in its entirety on July 21, 1990, between Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. It’s probably the biggest live music show ever staged in the entire world so far.

A double LP set was released along with the event on video, and here you can hear the first side of the album, reissued on clear vinyl for the 2020 edition of Record Store Day to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the concert.
