Record Store Day 2016 at Luna Music located in Broad Ripple (Indianapolis) on Saturday 4/16/2016

This is just a quick video of our process the morning we got up and went to get in line at Luna Music.

The much anticipated David Bowie 12″ LP picture disc of The Man Who Sold The World went much faster than nearly anyone could have predicted. We were number 50 in line, yet there was no way physically possible that this would have mattered. When we finally made it through the long winding line to the register, we asked if they had any left and the answer was obviously no. We still had to ask in hopes that it was there. When I asked how many they had, the guy at the register told me they were cut off at only 8. I suppose it makes sense given that there were only 3,000 released nation wide.

What have we learned from this? CAMP OUT OVER NIGHT and be one of the first 5 people in line. Take it from us. Getting up at 4:30 in the morning and being in line by 5:30 is still not early enough. We thought we had a great chance being #50, and even though we still walked away with some great record store day records, we’ll be going much earlier in the future.

What we did get:
1) David Bowie – TVC15 7″ picture disc EP
2) Bob Dylan – Melancholy Mood 7″ Red transparent EP
3) Nosferatu (1922 soundtrack) – 7″ Silver transparent EP
4) Johnny Cash – All Aboard The Blue Train 12″ Blue LP
5) Craig – Blood On The Table 12″ (Free LP)
