What more can I say, if you are watching this you are from the old school or really value the beginnings of hip-hop! They say rap was invented way way long ago, even before James Brown time, the o.g.’s during the early days (1930-1940’s) first introduced the art form of rapping as a style of singing.

It wasn’t until until the soulful days when Grandmaster Flash first utilized those funky tunes to create the base, the platform for what hip-hop was born onto. Without the cleaver peak-a-boo system, crossfader, two turntable cutting and looping of beats that DJ Grandmaster Flash invented, there would be no hip-hop. Likewise, without the lyrics of Cool Herc and Melle Mel and the rest of Sugarhill Gang, there would be no hip-hop.

This tune was the very platform that woke everyone up to modern day rap and hip-hop!
