‘Boek en Plaat’ was a Dutch Society where members (in the 1980’s there were a million members! ) could buy cheaper recordings and books but there was the obligation to buy at least one item every three months.
That this recording was part of the popular assortment is an indication how popular this music was in the 1960’s.
