For those of you who don’t know Rainbow, they are a super group from the 70’s who came together to create a side project known as, Rainbow. The members include Ronnie James Dio (vocalist of Dio/Black Sabbath), Ritchie Blackmore (guitarist from Deep Purple), Tony Carey (Keyboardist and composer/producer), Jimmy Bain (bassist from Dio), and this album also included the Munich Philharmonic. Rising is Rainbow’s second studio album, and was released in 1976.

It has been known to be some of their best work, and is truly an iconic album worthy of high praise. This is one of my favorite songs entitled Stargazer, and is one of the most incredible executions that they perform. This is one of those tracks that I can listen to again and again and every time it seems I just discover more sounds and admiration every time. Enjoy!
