PRESSINGS COMPARISON: Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” 2006 & 2016 US reissues

Here you can check two different pressings of Black Sabbath’s sophomore album from 1970, “Paranoid”. Both reissues made in the US, the first one released in 2006 and mastered by Kevin Gray, and the second one released ten years later on blue vinyl with Sean Magee’s mastering work.

The opening cut of the album is the one chosen for this comparison. Just called “War Pigs” on the British version of the LP, but the track was considered too long in the US and that’s why the instrumental coda of the song received its own name, “Luke’s Wall”, on the US version of “Paranoid”.
