Phono Stage Comparison – The Results! Graham Slee Accession vs Classic Audio Spartan 10

Here are the results of the comparison video posted previously on the channel.
There are actually onto two phono stages, a Graham Slee Accession (which is my normal phono stage) up against a Classic Audio Spartan 10. The Spartan 10 has a feature called LFC (low frequency crossfeed) designed to reduce or eliminate low frequency noise whilst improving the clarity of bass instruments during quiet sections. As you can hear, it makes a difference, and it is switchable depending on your taste.
I have also included full length versions of Nat King Cole and Yello with each of the configurations, as well as a final recording of the output of the phono stage with no music playing. As you can hear, the Spartan 10 is almost silent.
You can read more about the Spartan 10 and order your own here:
***In the interests of transparency, I have the Spartan 10 on demonstration but rate it so highly I will be purchasing one for myself. In fact, you have already heard it on some other tracks I posted this week – Phil Collins Colours, Bee Gees Too Much Heaven and Carpenters’ Love Is Surrender were all recorded using this excellent phono stage***
As always, any comments are appreciated. Thanks for listening and following the channel!
