For those of you who aren’t familiar, this is boogaloo at its finest. Pianist Pete Rodríguez (not to be confused with the singer of the same name, nicknamed “El Conde”) recorded this classic boogaloo track as a “live in the studio” session, complete with handclappers who want to rush the tempo and trumpets hitting wrong notes. Still, that doesn’t prevent the groove and feel of the music to make you nod your head and feel like dancing.
