In 1967, electronic music pioneers Gershon Kingsley (of “Popcorn” fame) and Jean-Jacques Perrey joined forces to create an album called “Kaleidoscopic Vibrations: Electronic Pop Music From Way Out” (also called “Kaleidoscopic Vibrations: Electronic Pop Music Of The Future”). “Baroque Hoedown” is a track from this album that has been used as the theme for Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade and its various iterations since 1972. Mexican writer and comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños (a.k.a. “Chespirito”) also used it as the closing theme for his sitcom “El Chapulín Colorado”. The piece has been described as “harpsichord gone country”.

This copy of the LP is an US pressing from 1971, when the album was re-released with the title “Spotlight On The Moog – Kaleidoscopic Vibrations”.
