This is an example of the kind of music that people in Colombia used to play for Christmas season parties during the 70s and 80s. Sadly, reggaeton and the so-called “urban music” took over and this old music is just a memory for those of us who had the chance of enjoying it. Here’s Venezuelan singer and bass player Óscar D’León as a guest vocalist for Venezuelan band Los Blanco (“The Whites” – like “The Smiths” or “The Kennedys”…) singing the song “Qué Muchacho” (“What A Boy”) from the 1991 LP “Óscar D’León Y Los Blanco”, but here taken from the 13th volume of a yearly party music compilation produced in Colombia called “La Fiesta Del Año” (“The Party Of The Year”).
