This is the closing track of Nine Inch Nails’ “The Downward Spiral”, considered one of the most influential albums in the industrial rock genre, and praised by critics as a very important album overall. “Hurt” was covered by country music singer Johnny Cash in 2002, and his version was such a smash hit that Trent Reznor even said that he felt as if he lost his girlfriend because “that song is not mine anymore”.

Originally released in 1994, this copy of “The Downward Spiral” is a 2017 reissue on Interscope Records and Nothing Records.
