“The Beatles At the Hollywood Bowl” is the first official live album by The Beatles, originally released in 1977 and created from recordings of three concerts held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 23, 1964, and August 29 and 30, 1965 (although the August 29/65 concert isn’t mentioned anywhere as part of the material used on the LP). The team of George Martin, Geoff Emerick and Wally Traugott was in charge of sequencing, mixing, remixing and mastering the album.

In 2016, the album was re-released with the title “Live At the Hollywood Bowl” to coincide with the release of the documentary film “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years” directed by Ron Howard. The album was remixed and expanded with four bonus tracks, with Giles Martin, Sam Okell, Matt Mysko, James Clarke and Alex Wharton as the team in charge of putting this new version together.

Here you can hear “Ticket To Ride” performed on August 29, 1965 (mistakenly stated on the album as from the August 30 concert) from an original Colombian pressing of the 1977 LP, and from the European pressing of the 2016 version.
