To me, this is absolutely the very best song ever created and recorded by the “King Of Pop”. Certainly pop music at its finest. The combination of Michael Jackson’s songwriting skills and the outstanding prowess as a record producer of Quincy Jones reached its zenith in this track. Words aren’t enough to describe what I felt every time I heard “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” being played through the radio in late 1979. “Thriller” may be the best-selling album of all time, but at least in terms of the sheer effect that a piece of music can produce in the listener, this one alone trounces everything else Michael Jackson ever did before and after (again, in my sole, subjective perception).
Taken from an original Canadian pressing of the “Off The Wall” LP, released in 1979.
