Here is another cult classic from the 1980’s. This tune came about during the baby years of hip-hop. During this time, there were many deejays coming up. The founding father of hip-hop deejays is Grandmaster Flash, and he is the one responsible for the beat on this track along with Melle Mel. There were no sophisticated computers in those days to add auto tune and definitely NO Serrato. Everything you hear was probably recorded as one whole track from start to finish. The Deejay had to know exactly what records to use to play a specific looping beat, or what records to pull certain sounds from. This was the birth of the “cue”.

I can rant on an on, but do me a favor and turn up the volume for this one! Get those speakers to holla out until they fall out the doors, because this track is a certified banger!
