Released in 1977 from Ronstadt’s #1 album “Simple Dreams” this single would be released almost right after “Blue Bayou”. Linda Ronstadt made chart history when she became the first female artist to take two singles into the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. She took the single “It’s So Easy in the top 5 on December 10th, where it stayed at #5 for four weeks, but that wasn’t the only song that entered the top five that week. She managed to place “Blue Bayou” at #4 that same week, becoming the first act since the Beatles to have more than one top five at once.
