Kristin Wachenfeld was born in Munich and studied
under Werner Smigelski, Max Martin Stein, Iwona
Salling and Zuzana Ruzickova. After examination successes
1978 and again in 1982. Ms. Wachenfeld was
awarded a DAAD scholarship to the Academy of Arts
in Prague. Following master classes with Gustav Leonhardt,
Ton Koopman, Alan Curtis and Carlo Zecci.
Kristin Wachenfeld currently teaches the harpsichord
at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Westfalen,
Lippe, Institut Dortmund, where she is deeply involved
with, inter alia, the modern repertoire
