Big World is a 1986 live album by Joe Jackson. His intent was to capture the spontaneity of a live performance, but without the noise from the crowd. The audience was requested to remain silent, so we do not hear any applause. The music was mixed live, and sent directly to a stereo digital tape recorder. No post-recording mixing or overdubbing was performed.
