Colombian singer/songwriter Álvaro José “Joe” Arroyo created lots of great music in his lifetime, and it’s very difficult to pick one of his songs as “the best”. But if I definitely had to, I think I’d choose this one. “En Barranquilla Me Quedo” (“In Barranquilla I Stay”) is an ode to his adoptive hometown originally released in 1988 as part of his album “Fuego En Mi Mente” (“Fire In My Mind”), also in my opinion the best album in his discography as a solo artist.
