To anyone familiar enough with classical music, this piece is an electronic version of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Turkish March from The Ruins Of Athens, Op. 113. But to anyone in Latin America who has been a regular TV viewer in the last 40+ years, this is the main theme to perhaps the most successful Spanish language sitcom ever: “El Chavo”, created by Mexican writer and comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños, a.k.a. “Chespirito” (something like “Little Shakespeare”). From the very first sound of the piece, its impact on any person who knows this sitcom is instant.

This piece was recorded by French musician Jean-Jacques Perrey in 1970 and released as part of his album “Moog Indigo”. Remastered in 2017 by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed at RTI.
