This is one of James Brown’s signature songs. A very groovy tune that really makes you feel like dancing. BTW, and although it doesn’t bother me (I actually find it funny), I would have ordered the drummer to put some WD-40 in his squeaky bass drum pedal before recording, had I been the producer of the track. It’s impossible not to hear it, specially on the full band accents at the beginning, middle and end of the song.

Originally released in 1970 as a two-part track on a 7″ single, this pressing is a German 12″ maxi-single released in 1986 with the whole, non-split song on side A.
