Jaco Pastorius (1951 – 1987) is considered one of the greatest electric bass players that have ever lived. Certainly one of those who raised the possibilities and status of the instrument by more than a few notches. “Opus Pocus” is the sixth track from his 1976 eponymous debut as a solo artist, reissued in 2012 as a double 45 RPM set by Original Recordings Group (ORG) in a limited, numbered edition of 2500 copies (this is copy #690).
