Huguette Grémy-Chauliac
Huguette Grémy-Chauliac’s career as an
internationally celebrated harpsichordist dates
from 1961. After being awarded the
prize in the categories of piano, harmony,
and chamber music at the Conservatoire
National Superieur in Paris, she turned to
the harpsichord and obtained the Diploma
of Honour of the International Academy of
Nice in the class of Robert Veyron-Lacroix.
She has been a soloist with numerous orchestras
in France alld abroad and is at
present the harpsichordist of the Orchestre
Antiqua Musica of Paris. Since 1963
she has taught the harpsichord at the Regional
Conservatoire at Nice and at the
American Academy in Paris. Huguette
Grémy-Chauliac also de votes a great deal
of time to conferences and recital-debates
in the course of which she enters into
discussions with the audience. Her accomplishments
as a musicologist linked with
her talent as a performer make her one of
the eminent authorities on 17th and 18th
century French music.
