Greetings all, this is my tutorial on how to install dustcover hinges to a Technics SL-1200 turntable. For whatever reason, Technics stopped installing the hinges on the SL-1200 a number of years ago, and while a number of people are intimidated by this process, it is a lot more straight forward than you think.

While the initial process is not that difficult, thorough preparation is vital to not damaging your turntable. There are parts of this process that could spell disaster If you are not comfortable in any way mounting your turntable upside down and taking it apart.
