“A Shot In The Dark” is the name of the movie for which this tune was writen by Henry Mancini, the second installment in the Pink Panther film series released in 1964 with Peter Sellers reprising his role as the inspector Jacques Clouseau. But this piece is best known as the theme for “The Inspector”, the cartoon short featured as a segment of The Pink Panther Show.
