This is an example of the Colombian rhythm called pasillo, typical from the country’s Andean region, performed by saxophone/clarinet/flute player Gabriel Uribe and pianist Oriol Rangel. The tune, written by Rangel, is called “Ríete Gabriel” (“Laugh, Gabriel”), which is what the saxophonist does at the beginning and end of the piece with his instrument.

Mono recording from late 50s or early 60s. Unfortunately, Colombian record companies at the time didn’t care about printing the release year on their products.
