Fruko Y Sus Tesos is one of the most important bands in the history of salsa music made in Colombia. “El Cocinero Mayor” isn’t exactly a salsa tune, but a dancing song with salsa elements. And it’s certainly for dancing! The band was on fire when this recording was made. And the lead singer, the late great Álvaro José “Joe” Arroyo, one of the most renowned colombian vocalists ever, was in top shape back then.
