It was not just another video game. In 1997 it was the title that Game Informer labeled as, “Quite possibly the greatest game ever made.” and in the late 90’s if you had an original Playstation or higher end PC, you could partake in one of the greatest RPG stories ever told. It was a story that taught people the importance of understanding poverty in our society, being an honorable person in life, and true love is worth dying for. These are just a few of the key points that Final Fantasy VII held to its name. Nobuo Uematsu’s masterful composing of the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack was just one more victory on top of the already fascinating and moving video game soundtracks that he had performed for earlier Final Fantasy titles. This is the beginning of another compilation of favorite songs that I’ve recorded from another one of my most enjoyed childhood games. This is, The Prelude from the limited Final Fantasy VII soundtrack presented on picture disc vinyl.
