This is the 40th anniversary reissue of the live album by Elvis Presley “Elvis As Recorded At Madison Square Garden”, recorded on June 10, 1972 and released just one week after the event. Originally released as a single LP clocking at 52+ minutes, allegedly because Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker, tried to get the most publishing royalties while cutting costs. This double LP reissue, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, is definitely a sonic improvement over the original release.
