Originally written and recorded by Inez and Charlie Foxx in 1963, it would become a hit for the duo, hitting the top ten on the Hot 100. It would later be recorded by Carly Simon and her then-husband James Taylor. It would be included on Simon’s album “Hotcakes”, and released as a single in early-1974. It became a popular song in America, where it outdone the Inez and Charlie Foxx recording, peaking at #5 on the Hot 100 for a single week on March 23rd of 1974.
