“Spinning Wheel” is the signature song of Canadian-American band Blood, Sweat & Tears, originally released on their sophomore self-titled LP from 1968. I’ve never liked the practice of editing a song for 7″ single release, but this is the only exception to my own rule since, while the single version of “Spinning Wheel” is much shorter, it has a couple things not present on the album version. If you are a record collector and like this song as much as I do, you must have both versions.

And here you can hear both. The 7″ record is an US reissue of the original mono single (unknown year). And the LP is the 2013 stereo reissue released by Original Recordings Group (ORG) on two 12″, 45 RPM records. Mastered by Bernie Grundman.
