A Twist In The Myth is Blind Guardian’s 8th studio album recorded in 2006. This album sneaks in 80’s rock-style riffs, continued story-telling, and very busy guitars

This album followed their 2002 album, A Night At The Opera so the challenge of delivering something exceptionally better would prove rather difficult. In my opinion this album was their gateway to embracing more of the digital side of modern metal that we know today. Auto-tuned processing was used for tonal correction, drum sampling, and the synth pitch seemed different/off to me. Auto-tuned or not, we still stand behind Hansi’s vocals, and Andre’s always powerful guitar executions. Plus, this album introduced Another Stranger Me, Skalds & Shadows, Lionheart, and The Edge. Being the die-hard Blind Guardian fans that we are, we waited years to purchase A Twist In The Myth ‘on vinyl’ until only a couple of years ago. After sitting for some time, this is our first recording from A Twist In The Myth.
