Welcome to Tobias Sammet’s Moonglow album by the German metal, opera super group, Avantasia. As usual, Hansi Kürsch delivers an undeniable folk-style of vocals that all Blind Guardian fans identify too well. He is joined by Norwegian hard rock and heavy metal singer & song writer Jørn Lande, delivering exquisite vocals. I cannot tell you how much I love the combination of these two vocalists put together to sing The Raven Child on this fantastic album!

This is a relatively new album released earlier this year in mid February. The style of artwork is very enjoyable as it carries a sense of gothic folklore, and Celtic scenery, that really draws the eye into an almost Tim Burton style. Like most well-written European Opera metal, the style leans toward a Victorian gothic, dark romanticism genre. This album in no way disappoints, and I hope you enjoy The Raven Child as much as we do.
