Welcome to our 15,000 Subscriber Contest, where YOU pick the album! First things first, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us, and continues to watch our videos! We appreciate you, and that is exactly why we’ve decided to put this contest together! This is our first time ever doing something like this on our channel, and to be completely honest, we’ve refrained from ever mentioning anything in the past regarding our gradual growth on YouTube. We’ve never wanted to draw too much attention to ourselves, which is why we very rarely tell people to subscribe or ‘Like’ our videos. We just want you to enjoy what we love sharing, and continue to enjoy about this hobby. As of 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time, this contest is officially open and will close 30 days from this posting on July 15th at the same time.
REQUIREMENTS:
As for the contest, you noticed from the video that we have a couple of requirements to follow in order to be considered for the drawing. You just have to cover the following:
1) Be a public subscriber
2) Comment your favorite artist and album, what you like most about the channel, and one or more new things you would like to see in the future.
Just FYI for non-public subscribers, the only reason we’re requiring that you have your subscriptions set to public, is so we can visually confirm your subscription from either your Channels tab, or our Community Subscribers page.
Otherwise, we have no way of confirming your subscription and we want to make sure we are being fair to everyone who is taking part in this contest. If you would be willing to make the temporary change, it will make it possible for us to enter you into the drawing.
SHIPPING DETAILS:
The value of the album is $35 USD. We realize many of our subscribers are also international, so keeping fairness in consideration, this contest IS WORLD-WIDE. We will figure out shipping costs on our end when the time comes, and decide how to handle that should a complicated situation present itself. This means that we are planning on covering any additional costs beyond the cost of the 35.00 album. As long as the initial album does not cross over the $35 threshold.
Whoever wins, we want that individual to get an album of their choosing, but the cost of the album needs to be within $35 USD. Please note for convenience purposes, this will be a purchase limited to either Amazon, or EBay. We are excluding Discogs, and driving to our closest record shop as this will only risk higher complications that we are wanting to avoid at this time. The winner will provide us with their shipping address (per the instructions listed below), and we will put the shipping address in at the same time of purchase so that the album ships directly to their residence.
Should you choose a third-party seller on Amazon or EBay that does not ship to a PO Box address, it will be your responsibility to verify this first before providing us with the details of the album being sold.
CONTEST CONCLUSION:
Once the contest is over and we’ve determined the winner, we will upload a temporary video announcing the winner, and this video will have a setting of Pending Comment Approval in order to gather the winners email address in private. This way, for security purposes only we will see those details. This will prevent any fraudulent accounts from impersonating the winner. The winner will simply leave a comment, providing their email address and after we’ve confirmed the account, we will reach out via email to correspond privately. Please be prompt in your correspondence! Once we have reached out to your email address, you will have up to 72 hours to respond with your shipping address and details about your desired album, and its location on Amazon or EBay. If we have not received those details in that timeframe, we will randomly choose another contestant in your place.
To reduce the risk of spam account creation, and to allow proper verification, the winners YouTube account must have already been created at least 24 hours prior to the posting of this contest (June 15th of 2020). We will need to be able to verify that information for the winner of the contest.
